Nehemiah, as the leader, was taking the lead by being the first person to sign the covenant. What we can learn from this is that if you are the leader, LEAD. Don’t ever ask those you’re leading to do something you’re not willing to do.
Blessings and curses are greatly determined by whether we choose to obey God’s Word and Principles or not.
‘If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom. ‘ Deuteronomy 28:13
‘Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. ‘ Joshua 1:7-8
Don’t date or marry a non-practicing Christian.
‘Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? ‘ II Corinthians 6:14
