Five Things We Can Do To Reach People For Christ

Acts 8:26-40, NKJV

  • We must go where the people are. (Acts 8:26, NKJV)
    • That does not necessarily mean we have to go around the world, many times it means walk cross the street, invites someone at work!
    • Children do what children see…what a better way to teach our children to go and tell.
  • We must listen to the Holy Spirit. (Acts 8:27-29, NKJV)
    • Satan wants us to keep quiet.
    • Satan knows if we “Keep Quiet” it will “Keep Christ Quiet” before the Father on our behalf.
    • “Keeping Christ Quiet” keeps the power of prayer limited. (Matthew 10:32-33, NKJV)
    • How do we know if it is the Holy Spirit speaking?
      • Does it line up with:
        • God’s Word.
        • God’s Principles. (2 Corinthians 6:14, NKJV; Colossians 3:17, NKJV)
        • God’s authorities. (Romans 13:1-2, NKJV)
      • How to make a godly decision?
        • Will this choice bring glory to God?
        • Is this a decision Jesus would make?
  • Will I be proud of this decision at the Judgement Seat of Christ?
  • Would I want this done to me?
  • Will this decision appear wrong to someone even though it might be right?
  • Will this decision cause a brother or sister in Christ to struggle or stumble spiritually?
  • Does this decision line up with God’s character?
  • We must learn how to communication with others. (Acts 8:30, NKJV)
    • It’s all about building relationships.
  • We must believe God is working in their lives and our lives.
    • We must believe God has gone before us and is with us.
  • We must always bring it back to Christ. (Acts 8:35, NKJV)
