Realize you are not where you want to be, but thank God your not where you used to be. Be willing to PRESS on, it does not mean you will not have problems. Many times pressing on brings pressure—We are knocked down, but not knocked out. You may be in a War, but it will not wreck you. You may be in a Battle, but it will not beat you. You went through some stuff, you’ve got scars, but you’re still standing. We are to count our blessings, but Paul said in 2 Corinthians sometimes we have to count the battles before we can ever understand some of those battles become blessings. The Good News is as we learn to PRESS ON and take hold of Christ—Jesus takes hold of us—Whatever we go through He goes through it with us.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 2 Corinthians 4:7-10
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Philippians 3:12
