We have bigger issues that need to be addressed… this is a response to the article written by Lamar White, Jr. posted on BayouBrief.com on May 17th, 2019 titled, “Louisiana College Professor Resigns in Protest After School Leaders Conceal Lewd, Sexist Comments by Prominent Dean”
First, I would like to say I don’t believe Pastor Joshua Joy Dara would say anything with the intent of hurting anyone. I personally believe his intent was to help!
Joshua Dara has apologized for his statements. At Journey Church, our motto is, “We All Mess Up!”. Forgive and move on, there are much bigger problems than the words people say.
If you want to get upset over something someone says (such as “crackhouse”), use that energy to get upset about the state of Louisiana closing four of the drug treatment facilities in Pineville.

To Pastor Joshua Joy Dara, we are praying for you and thank you for what you do.
To Dr. Brewer, I believe Louisiana College, under your leadership, is in the best overall spiritual, financial and numerical condition it’s been in years, we are praying for you and thank you for all you’re doing for Central Louisiana.
To the State of Louisiana, we are praying for you, but we don’t need to close drug treatment facilities, we need to open more to fight this epidemic.
