1 Samuel 16:18 (NKJV) “Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him.”
David, first of all, is an excellent example of someone who practices being in the presence of God. King Saul was very unsettled, and his servants told him that was being troubled by a distressing spirit. They then advised him to bring David before him to play the harp.
Because David had the favor of God upon his life, he could bring a time of refreshing upon King Saul’s life! What a great description of someone’s life, “who is skillful in playing instruments, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and if that was not enough he was handsome on top of it all.” When you have the favor of God, your favor can help others who need the favor of God.
Today’s Challenge:
How would others describe you? How do you think you make others feel when you come into the room? Do you see yourself as a mighty man or woman of war for God?
