Most people think the favor of God is only for a select few, but that’s not true. It’s for you if you know Jesus.
When we find Jesus (He finds us), we find favor!
I believe Father Abraham had the favor of God but it was not because he was so obedient or so religious, but it was because of his relationship and faith. Many are thinking because of all my mess ups, I can’t have the favor of God. Stop telling yourself that, it’s a lie! Romans 4:13-14 (NLT2) “Clearly, God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God’s law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith. If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless.”
God giving Abraham the whole earth shows Abraham had God’s favor! This verse also teaches us it was not because of obedience, because many times Abraham was not obedient. Abraham enjoyed God’s favor because of his relationship with God; just like we get to have a relationship with God when we accept Jesus as our savior. It was Abraham’s relationship with God and faith in God’s promises that caused Abraham to enjoy the favor of God. This is so simple and profound. We can have the favor of God if we have the right relationship with God and if we believe and meet the conditions of His promises.
