Genesis 39:21-23 (NKJV) “But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners who were in prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. e keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority because the LORD was with him, and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper.”
It was the Lord who gave Joseph favor with his boss, the keeper of the prison. Yet God’s favor did not keep Joseph out of prison but was with Joseph while he was in prison. Many Christians falsely believe they don’t have God’s favor because of their problems or (prison). We often miss God’s favor because we keep looking at the problems (prison) instead of His favor. It does not matter where we work or who we work for physically.
The truth is we serve a powerful, true, and living God who is in control of our boss and our job. If we let God’s favor show forth in our life, we will prosper wherever we go and whatever we do. Not only will we prosper, but we will also have God’s power and presence because He promises never to leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 13:4-6 (NKJV) For He Himself has said, “I will never leave nor forsake you.” “So we may boldly say: “ e LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Today’s Challenge:
Do you feel God’s favor on your job? If not it could be you looking at your problems instead of God’s power. Would you allow God to show forth His favor and power in your life and job this week?
