Psalms 5:12 (NKJV) “For You, O Lord will bless the righteous; with favor, You will surround him as with a shield.” Proverbs 14:9 (NKJV) “Fools mock at sin, But among the upright there is favor.” Today is an excellent time to be reminded what the favor of God is: The favor of God is when God takes the natural and does the supernatural in a person, place, or thing. It can be little or big, but it’s always to bring honor and glory to God and further His Kingdom; not simply to favor the person, place, or thing! God blesses the righteous and upright with favor. Many times that may make you feel like, “I will not be blessed with favor because I’m not righteous or upright enough.”You’re not, and I’m not, but because of what Jesus did for us, we are saved, and under the blood of Jesus, you are considered righteous and entitled to the favor of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” John 16:10-11 (TLB) “There is righteousness available because I go to the Father, and you shall see me no more; there is deliverance from judgment because the prince of this world has already been judged.” Romans 3:22 (NKJV) “Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe…”
Today’s Challenge:
Do you feel you are righteous? Thank God our righteousness is not based on how we feel, but on God’s word. Because you are righteous and have the favor of God, why don’t you enjoy it more? Why don’t you thank God for making you righteous because of His Son and then ask for His favor upon your life and family today?
