Exodus 33:17 (TLB) “And the Lord had replied to Moses, ‘Yes, I will do what you have asked, for you have certainly found favor with me, and you are my friend.’” What an exciting verse! When we are in the favor of God, He will not only do what we ask but we are His friend. Moses was not afraid to ask God anything. Moses spoke honestly, showed his true needs, and expected God to answer. How can we nourish our relationship with God? We meet Him regularly “face to face.”
He will fill our lives to overflow, and out of that overflow, our human friendships will flourish. Do you lack friends? Start with God, and He will show you how to be a friend to others. What would you like to ask God to do for you right now? If you felt God would do anything you asked what would it be? When is the last time you went to God as a friend of God?
Today’s Challenge:
What do friends do together? How can you become a better friend of God? They listen. They don’t judge. They spend time together. True friends give wise counsel. They speak truth in love and grace.
