Proverbs 19:12 (NKJV) “The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion, But his favor is like dew on the grass.” 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) “Be sober, be vigilant; your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Who is the King’s wrath? It’s our Lord Jesus! He’s not like a roaring lion like the devil is, but He is THE roaring lion.
The devil is trying to impersonate the real King. He is trying to make you feel fear. e true God will never stop loving and caring for you no matter what happens in your life. Isaiah 54:9 (NKJV) “For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn at the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn at I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.”
When the devil comes in like a roaring lion trying to bring fear and even anger, remind the devil he may be like a roaring lion, but you serve the real roaring Lion, Jesus Christ, and your faith in Christ casts out fear! “but his favor [is] as dew upon the grass;” which refreshes and revives it, and causes it to grow and flourish: and so the favor and goodwill of a king to his subjects delights them and causes joy and cheerfulness in them, and such an effect has the love of God and Christ on the children of men.”
Today’s Challenge:
Did you know because you’re saved, you will never face the wrath of God? Remember, because of Jesus and what He did, you enjoy the favor as dew upon the grass. You get to enjoy the joy, and love of God. The enemy, the devil, will have to one day face the true roaring of the Lion Jesus Christ, and the devil will then face the wrath of God.
