Example: Joseph
Genesis 37:18-23 (NCV) “Joseph’s brothers saw him (Joseph)coming from far away. Before he reached them, they made a plan to kill him. They said to each other, “Here comes that dreamer. Let’s kill him and throw his body into one of the wells. We can tell our father that a wild animal killed him. Then we will see what will become of his dreams. “
Genesis 37:25-27 (NCV) “While Joseph was in the well, the brothers sat down to eat. When they looked up, they saw a group of Ishmaelites traveling from Gilead to Egypt. Their camels were carrying spices, balm, and myrrh. Then Judah said to his brothers, “What will we gain if we kill our brother and hide his death? ” “Let’s sell him to these Ishmaelites. Then we will not be guilty of killing our own brother. After all, he is our brother, our own flesh and blood. ” And the other brothers agreed.
Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery, then later he was lied about and put into prison. But, in the end, he was promoted to the second in command in the palace. Joseph had God’s favor in the prison and Joseph had God’s favor in the palace. Genesis 39:21 (NKJV) “But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. ”
Yes, Joseph was in prison because a woman lied about him, but God’s favor was with him in prison.

Genesis 50:20 (NKJV) “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. ” God’s favor will turn what others meant for our evil into good.
