The point is to become aware of not always trying to draw out equity without first putting it in. This applies mainly to day-to-day living. If we are not careful, life can become very routine and without meaning to you begin to take each other for granted. Your mate, next to God, is the most important thing in your life. Treat them like it. Look for ways to do something special for the other person that builds equity, not because you want something back but just because you love them and want to give to them.
1 John 4:7-8 (NKJV) “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
Yes, love is giving, but to enjoy that love it’s learned and earned. By nature, we are all selfish. But when we are right spiritually, we are not. True love wants to give or build equity in the other person’s life.
God wants us to love each other, but He also makes it clear that true and lasting love only comes from God. To know God, we have to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. If you don’t know Jesus and you want to know Him as your Savior, you can have this kind of love and share this kind of love.
Two ways to do that today:

- You can simply admit you have sinned, because we all have. Understand sin separates us from God. You don’t want to be separated. Believe Jesus died on the cross and rose for your sins. Pray and invite Jesus into your heart:
Dear Jesus, Forgive me of my sins. I want you to be the Lord of my life. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the grave. Come into my heart and save me.
Jesus said if you call upon Him or pray as you did, He will save you.
Romans 10:13 (NKJV) For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
Romans 3:23 (NKJV) “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 6:23 (NKJV) “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 10:9-13 (NKJV) “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
