I. We develop Consistency in three main areas:

1. Right habits are the key to happiness.
        a. Happiness is a result of right habits practiced or repeated over a long
            period of time.

2. Lead your emotions or they will lead you.

3. Our words reflect our heart at that time. (Proverbs 18:21, NKJV)
        a. Our words bring life or death to the relationship.

II. Three attributes of the heart that are expressed through our words.

1. Honesty:

        a. The people you lead depend upon your honesty.
        b. They need to trust you.
        c. If you want to lead, you have to be honest with your people.

2. Hope:

        a. The people you lead need hope.
        b. They need you as a leader to live, experience, and express that hope.
        c. Hope is the confident expectation of a positive future in spite of your
            present circumstances.
        d. Your confident expectation – your hope for a positive future rests on
God’s purposes and resources, not yours.

3. Honor: (Ephesians 5:21, CEV; Psalm 31:19, NLT)

        a. Speaking words that build others up, communicate value, and show
respect to you as a leader.
        b. Honor – to value, respect, or highly esteem to treat as precious, weighty
             or valuable.
        c. Honor builds up; therefore, believes the best.
        d. Without honor; to dishonor, therefore, believes the worst.
