What is re-framing?
The facts of the situation or circumstance are the same, but the filter is different.
The facts don’t change, but our attitude and outlook does.
Re-framing could just as easy be called refocus.
Why is it so hard to re-frame or re-focus?
Many times, it’s because of our past.
Even when we are saved, if we are not careful, we will go back to our past instead of enjoying God’s forgiveness, power, and future.
One of the main reasons it’s so hard to re-frame and re-focus is because you are focused in the wrong things.
How can we re-frame or re-focus?
Accept your own responsibility for your day to day relationship with God. (John 15:7, NKJV)
Stop blaming and complaining. (Philippians 2:14, NIV; James 5:9, GW)
Start re-framing and re-focusing. (Numbers 13:30, NIV)
Focus on the opportunities and outcomes, not the obstacles. (Joshua 6:1-5, NIV)
