Happiness is a byproduct of seeking Jesus.
Most people seek things, but the byproduct is emptiness.
The world seeks happiness by looking to people, places, power, fame, looks, etc. only to find emptiness.
The #1 reason people go from job to job, church to church, and relationship to relationship is because they don’t understand the simple but profound principal.
Principal: Happiness, joy, and blessings are a byproduct of seeking Jesus.
Happiness is not a goal.
It’s the result of right thinking, right living, and right acting.
It’s a byproduct of the right habits.
If you make happiness the goal of your life, you’re going to live a very self-centered life and it’s going to end up making you miserable.
Happiness is never the goal, it’s always the result.
Happiness is four-fold.
- Relationally.
- Physically. (Philippians 4:11-13, NIV; 1 Timothy 4:8-9, ESV; 2 Corinthians 4:16, NKJV)
- Financially. (Matthew 6:21, NKJV; Proverbs 4:23, NKJV)
4 main problems with money:
-
- Lack of contentment.
- The love of money.
- Issues beyond your control.
- You’re not managing your money by God’s design.
4. Spiritually; Everything, everything, rises and falls on our relationship and fellowship with Jesus. (James 1:2-5, NIV)
