Children: Obey your parents. Many youth and children today believe the lies of the devil. The devil tempts you to think you are wiser than God and that your way is better.
Ephesians 6:1-3, NKJV “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother,’ which is the first commandment with a promise: ‘that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.’”
Fathers: You are an essential part of raising your children. The goal of correction and discipline is to preserve the relationship.
James 1:20, NKJV “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”
Mothers: Let your husband be involved in the correcting and raising of your children. You are not meant to be the only one responsible.
For everyone, remember that honor works in 3 ways:
#1 Honor those over you.
#2 Honor those under you.
#3 Honor those next to you.
Today’s Challenge: When we learn to honor those over us, under us, and next to us, God then multiplies His blessing towards us. Young people, are you obeying and honoring your parents? Fathers, are you correcting in love or anger? Mothers, are you allowing your husband to help, and are you following him as the head of the home? What area do you need to pray about improving today?
