Psalm 31:9-10, TEV “Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am in trouble; my eyes are tired from so much crying; I am completely worn out. I am exhausted by sorrow, and weeping has shortened my life. I am weak from all my troubles; even my bones are wasting away.”
Emotional pain and suffering can turn into physical pain. When you are having great times of emotional pain and suffering, be careful not to allow it to turn into physical pain and suffering. Remember that God knows and what He knows, He restores!
1 Peter 5:10, ESV “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
During suffering, God wants to use that time to equip you to do his will with a new power you have never understood before. God might not remove the hurt immediately. Most of the time, God does not remove the hurt. Most of the time, God doesn’t remove the hurt, but He always brings comfort! Don’t focus on the hurt being removed, focus on the comfort offered by God.
2 Corinthians 1:3, NKJV “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.”
No matter what you’re going through, God’s Word to you is cheer up! Allow God to handle your problems and He will turn your sorrow into joy. Allow God to multiply your joy!
Psalms 30:5b, NKJV, “Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.”
Today’s Challenge: Read Psalms 31:19 out loud and declare God’s promises and blessings over you today.
