Joshua 13:1, NKJV “Now Joshua was old, advanced in years. And the Lord said to him: ‘You are old, advanced in years, and there remains very much land yet to be possessed.”
Dry up whatever is stopping you from going forward. You are only old when God tells you that you’re old.
Stages of life:
NOT enough – the children of Israel are a good example.
JUST enough – the children of Israel wandered in the desert and wilderness for 40 years, why?
MORE THAN enough – What you need and then some.
The age you are now; ages 0-30, you need to learn all you can. For ages 30-40; you need to plan all you can. Ages 50-60, you need to work the plan all you can. Ages 60+, you need to give all you can.
The Lord can remove your problem. The water of the Jordan is a type of impossible problem you or the church might be facing. God uses people like the children of Israel and Joshua, but we must be willing to do what God would have us do. God blessed the children of Israel cooperatively and then gave them land individually. The important thing about stages is to learn what stage you are in and how to live and enjoy each stage.
Proverbs 29:18, NKJV “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.”
Often, life is not so much about the age as it is the stage.
3 stages:
#1 Movement of God.
#2 Museum of God.
#3 Mausoleum of God.
Today’s Challenge: What’s your stage? If you answered before God, which stage would you say? If it’s any stage but the Movement of God then you need to ask how you can get to that stage.
