There is a great reward in serving the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58, NKJV “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
To serve is an act of love. Jesus came to serve. When Jesus healed the sick, made the blind to see, and fed 5,000 people, He served and showed His love. His death on the cross was the greatest act of servanthood. When you attend Sunday morning service, you communicate your love for God to the church, Him, and yourself. You can only give out of what you get. Make sure you are taking time for God.
#1 I will prosper.
#2 I will be a success.
#3 I will be strong.
#4 I will be courageous.
#5 I won’t be afraid.
#6 I won’t get discouraged.
#7 The Lord is with me wherever I go.
Joy is a by-product of service. Those who serve should be the happiest people in the church. If you are not serving with joy, there is something wrong spiritually.
Psalms 100:2, NKJV “Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing.”
2 Corinthians 9:7, NKJV “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Today’s Challenge: Which of the seven listed above do you need to claim over your life right now? Write them down and say them aloud.
