Proverbs 4:23, NKJV “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.”

Matthew 15:18-19, NCV “But what people say with their mouths comes from the way they think; these are the things that make people unclean. 19 Out of the mind come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual sins, stealing, lying, and speaking evil of others.”

How to guard your heart: Control your thought life.  Our thinking determines our behavior. If we want to change our behavior, we have to change what we believe. Take in God’s Word. Right meditation leads to right motivation.

Genesis 6:5-7, NKJV “Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So, the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
