Philippians 4:6-7, CEV “Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.”
Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
How to have peace in the midst of suffering:
Remember you belong to Jesus Christ. He gives a strange peace in the midst of sorrow. Peace is a by-product of trusting God’s promises, purpose, and His plan, even when you don’t understand. Hope is a confident expectation of a positive future in spite of present circumstances.
1 John 3:1, NKJV “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”
Steps after we Mess Up:
Ask forgiveness and repent. Remember God’s mercies are new every morning. Our ultimate purpose is being loved by God; accept and allow God to love you.
