John 14:12-14 (NKJV) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father
WORKS ARE OUR FRUITS, OUR ACTIONS, ATTITUDES AND WORDS
Matthew 7:20 (NKJV) Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
John 15:7-8 (NKJV) If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
John 15:16-17 (NKJV) You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.
We are to be known by our fruits, our fruits are to glorify the Father, we are to bear much fruit, our fruit is to remain and we are to do it with love:
The question becomes what is the fruit that will remain?
These are the fruits what will last in heaven or will stand before the judgment seat!
#1 – Witness to the unsaved:
#2 – Good works are our edifying example to our fellow believers:
#3 – Good works are the means by which we minister to the needs of our fellow believers:
#4 – Every aspect of our thinking and conduct before God.
Not only caring for the poor, but behaving in a godly way toward your employer.
Not only giving to the work and ministry of the church, but truly loving those within it.
Not only distributing Bibles to those who have none, but seeking to understand, believe, and live and believe everything that is between the covers yourself.
In summary, it’s what we do with our time, talent, attitude, and money to further God’s Kingdom on a day to day basis.
