Day 1 – God’s Power and The Holy Spirit
Ephesians 3:16-20 “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints at Journey Church, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20) Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
God’s power is available to us because of His Holy Spirit in us. This is not ‘our’ power, but it’s the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. There is a difference. Many people who do not really know God nor fully understand the scriptures, try to live by their own strength and power. Verse 20 in the scripture above clearly states that it is the Holy Spirit’s power that is at work in us and enables us to live differently, and to make changes in our lives.
This is one of my favorite verses! A great promise to cling to during this time. Knowing and Trusting God’s Word cannot return void. I pray you are encouraged knowing His Power is at work in us.

Luke 11:13, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
