Day 20 – Filled with Power

Luke 1:17 (NKJV) He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

This verse was referring to John the Baptist, but what I want us to focus on is the spirit and power of Elijah. When we are filled the with sprit of God, we will turn the hearts of the children to the fathers, the disobedient to wisdom, and prepare as many as possible to receive Jesus as savior and Lord.

How? God, you asked!

James 5:16-18 (NKJV) Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

When we are right with God, right with ourselves, and right with others, God will answer prayers that will avail much. Then God gives us an example of what avails much looks like, Elijah prayed, and it did not rain for 31/2 years and prayed again and it rained that’s powerful!

I want us to end “Follow the Filling” with power!
