“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the
world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
2 Thessalonians 3:16 TLB “May the Lord of peace himself give you his
peace no matter what happens. The Lord be with you all.”
Practicing patience brings peace in the midst of turmoil. In the most difficult time we need to ask God what would He have us learn. God wants us to thrive not just survive. He wants us to triumph over our troubles. Lack of patience causes us to lose our peace.
God’s will for our life is more about a behavioral change. Spiritual growth requires two things – problems and patience. We want comfort, God wants character. Peace is really an inward confidence that God is doing something good in our life in spite of the present circumstance.
Is there a behavioral change God is wanting you to make? Where are you looking for comfort that God might be trying to build character? Did you experience a conviction, challenge, or a commitment you need to make from this devotion?
