Week 25: Raising the Bar on Wholeness

1 Thessalonians 5:23 MSG
“May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body— and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!”

Two Things that Cause Us to Lack Wholeness
1. We treat the effect and not the cause. We have to treat the root.
2. Worry – makes us feel worthless.

Our worthiness does not come from what we have done or have not done. Our worthiness comes from what Jesus did for us. We worry so much about tomorrow we miss the miracles and blessings for today. Focusing on tomorrow keeps our focus on the world instead of the Word.

Until you know you’re not whole, you cannot be made whole. Wholeness can only come from God. Refocus on God’s word and promises, you will be filled, full, and whole. Be willing to ask God
what is the root problem in our life.

Do you understand what the root of your problem is? Many times, the root problem comes from genes and environment. What root problem could you have that come from gene’s and environment? Did you experience a conviction, challenge or a commitment you need to make from this devotion?
