Week 2: May the Force Be with Us

1 John 4:4 NKJV “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you (The Force or The Holy Spirit) is greater than he who is in the world.”

Our goal is to be ordinary (just be yourself) but be used extraordinarily by the Force (Holy Spirit) within us. There are two forces: evil and good. The one we feed will WIN!

5 Insights About the Holy Spirit Within Us
1. Is greater than the force that comes against us. 1 John 4:4 NKJV
2. Comforts us. John 14:16-18 TLB
3. Leads us into all Truth.
4. Reminds us of God’s Word. John 14:26 TLB
5. Guides us. John 16:13-14 TLB

The presence of the Holy Spirit distinguishes believers from unbelievers and is the natural progression of asking Gods presence in our lives through faithfully accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. This passage offers encouragement, motivation and reminds us we can overcome obstacles the enemy places in our path. I feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in many ways and an example of this is how I handle daily events life pitches my way. When I fall short and regretfully I do, the Holy Spirit reminds me in a peaceful way how I could of handled or managed things better.

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is EXTRA. It doesn’t take much to do extra. Small disciplines done consistently over time can bring great results. God can give you that extra push of strength when times are tough.

I can see the difference in my life when the Holy Spirit is working. The Holy Spirit moves me from the best I can do to the best God can do!

The power of Christ, who lives in the believer, is greater than the power of the world. The Holy Spirit is far stronger than any attack by the devil. This encouragement should empower us not to fear satan, but rather trust the Lord and obey His commands. By doing so, we can overcome the powers of darkness and walk with boldness in this life.

“The one we feed will WIN”. This really stuck out to me because it is important to watch what we feed our spiritual life with.

Question: Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to work in your life? Are you seeking God through prayer and His word?

When we’re in close connection with Jesus and are seeking Him the Holy Spirit can work through us more and more. Thus we are feeding the good side of the force. Its when we allow the enemy to infiltrate our thought life that we see the dark side of the force come out.

We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy.. it is our choices that show us what we truly are, far more than our abilities…Albus Dumbledore! Huge Harry Potter fan but so much relates to the bible and I found this fitting!

Sarah Wilson says January 18, 2019

The Holy Spirit is greater than what ever forces comes against us. I feel like so many times we forget that. We get in a tight situation and we feel like nothing can help us and that we will be stuck in that place forever. But the truth is that the Holy Spirit is always right there with us and is stronger than anything that this world or the devil could throw at us.
