Week 15: Don’t be Miserable, Enjoy God’s Mercy

Steps to Enjoy God’s Mercy
1. Keep recalling/reminding yourself what mercy is. Mercy is undeserved forgiveness and unearned kindness. Mercy is being pardoned from the punishment we deserve.
2. Practice receiving and giving mercy or we will be miserable.

Jesus did not come to condone sin or condemn the sinner—He came to change the sinner! Satan uses condemnation to drive us away from God. Mercy brings us back to God.

Benefits of God:
1. Salvation
2. Mercies of God – Practice the mercies of God.
3. Hope
4. Abundant Life
5. God’s Mercies will always outweigh your sin.

Romans 12:2 KJV “and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Have you been allowing Satan to make you feel condemned? Where do you need to give and receive God’s mercy? Did you experience a conviction, challenge or a commitment you need to make from this devotion?
