WEEK 12: Confusion to Peace

‘Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.’ II Thessalonians 3:16

‘Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. ‘ I Corinthians 14:13

Do you have a strange peace going on in your life? It might be God trying to protect you from making the wrong decision about a matter before hand.

Do you have confusion or disunity in a relationship you are in? That did not come from God.

Are you trying to make a decision about a matter and are confused about what to do? Ask God of all peace to give you peace in the matter.

What area do you have confusion in? What relationship are you in that you feel confused in or about? Would you be willing to wait on the Lord to give you peace in that area?

We only live with peace in this life to the level that we live out of the relationship we have with God. In every situation, God is with us, ready and willing to lead us, empower us, sustain us, and fill us with peace in response to our trust. John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” Peace is our portion. And this peace is not given like the world gives, based on the emotional nature of man and the changing opinion of the world. Heavenly peace finds its source solely in the unchanging nature and love of God.

1 Corinthians 14:33 states that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. Oftentimes there has been a disconnect and/or we haven’t sought God enough or at all in that area of our lives when we are experiencing confusion. He is the God of peace. That not only means that He brings peace, but in the overall narrative that He writes for our lives, if we follow Him and seek His guidance, then it will end in peace.

Whatever makes us anxious we can hand it to God through prayer; leave it with HIM, assured that HE will handle the matter for the best while staying by our side. We must not be tempted to pick the issue back up, we should drop it, leave it and let it go, leaving us in perfect peace only GOD can provide.
