The Gift of Kindness Part 1

by | Leadership Lifters

Kindness. (Ephesians 4:32, NKJV)

Kindness means being more concerned with WHO a person is becoming than WHAT they’re doing.

Kindness is expressed by listening.

How do you know who to listen to and who not to listen to?

  • You have to consider the source.
  • You have to ask the main source (the Holy Spirit).

Example of kindness. (Luke 8:40-56, NKJV)

The multitude was waiting for Jesus to speak and act.

Jairus took the initiative.

If we really want to talk to Jesus, we have to be intentional about reading the Word.

Most of the crowd were spectators, while Jairus and the woman came to be participators.

That’s who Jesus made time for and that’s who we need to learn to make time for.

Jesus not only knows our greatest need, He knows when we have the faith and determination to do what we need to do.

Jesus is not only showing kindness, but He is also teaching us the difference between spectators and participators.

Spectators come to see what’s happening to others, participators come to be part of the happening.

Jesus taught the majority but ministered to the minority.
