Important insights:
It’s one thing to get a word from God, it’s another to carry it out in action.
The Israelites walked around Jericho, they didn’t run, strain or struggle.
Many times, we struggle, strain, and run when we should be walking with Jesus first.
Fruit over works. (Galatians 5: 22-23, NKJV)
Surrender over sacrifice.
Obedience over obstacles.
Relationship over rules.
If we will work on focusing on fruit more than works, we will enjoy the results of our works. (Galatians 5:19, NKJV)
If we work without focusing on fruit we might lose our focus.
Why we need to walk before we run.
Once we walk with Him until we hear from Him, we can then run and do what He calls us to do.
Run only after we hear and have the answer. (Habakkuk 2:2-3, NKJV)
When we allow the Lord to lead, He will meet all our needs. (Psalm 23:1-6, NKJV)
Only after we have followed the Good Shepherd, allowed Him to strengthen and comfort us, and then anoint us do we enjoy goodness and mercy that follows.
