WEEK 10: How to Maintain Peace and Joy

For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. ‘ Romans 14:17

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; ‘ 2 Corinthians 10:45 Webster’s Bible

God’s Word says we can control our thought life or our thought life will control our behavior. If you want to maintain Peace and Joy, it can only come as a result of what you think on.

If you are not sure how to do this, use the “Never Again List” instead of focusing on your problem.

What thought life do you need to bring into captivity? What good thoughts and promises do you need to claim today?

Go to the back of the book and claim one promise today!

Righteousness, peace and joy are three great qualities from GODS word. Righteousness is our good standing before GOD without condemnation, thus allowing us to reign in life. Once we realize how much GOD loves and accepts us, it brings peace that leaves us joy that overflows. This all starts with the decision to serve and live for GOD.
The weapons we are armed with are spiritual ones. Once we acccept JESUS, as our LORD and Saviour, the enemy will come against us. This spiritual warfare requires a plan that follows the same significance as being dropped off in combat behind enemy lines. You must know 3 things” Where am I”, Who do I need to be with”, and three, “Know your enemy”.

If God didn’t want us to win why did He say, we are more than conquers? I believe the discrepancy lies with us understanding when God wants us to win and when we want to win. If you are like me I want to win now! The race we are running is not about how fast or strong we are, it’s about enduring to the end. We can have peace and joy even in the trials of life, that’s a sprint. We are running a marathon. Peace. and Joy come when we run that marathon with God’s Word as our road map.
