Know Where Your Heart Is

by | The Heart of a Millionaire

It’s easy to forget we can really only know our heart by where we spend our money, time, and talent.

Matthew 6:21AMP
“for where your treasure is(money), there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.”

We can follow the money trail and know where our heart is. What you give to you love (family/church).

Jeremiah 17:9-10 NKJV
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his
doings.”

Our heart is so deceitful we can’t even know it. The only way we really know our heart is by the fruit in our lives.

Galatians 5:22-23 ESV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

Self-reflecting Questions

  • How is your spiritual fruit life? How’s your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control? If you have to pick one to work on which one would it be? Ask God to help you enjoy this fruit of the Spirit this week.
  • How about others you are influencing for the Lord? Have you ever led someone else to the Lord? Have others come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord because of your influence or because you invited them to church? If you have never led someone to the Lord and no one has ever come to know the Lord because of your influence you have allowed your heart to be deceived and need to ask God to forgive you and someone to help you.

Don’t Be an Excuse Maker
