Joy is a journey of seeking Jesus!
It was not the land; it was not even what we had learned that brought Joy! It was Love, Jesus’ love for me and you and love for God the Father.
Mark 12:30-31 NKJV
and you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Proverbs 8:17 NCV
I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. Who and what you love you will seek after! Joy is not a matter of where you live, where you travel, or what you have. It’s a matter of seeking Jesus and finding Him where ever you go and whatever you do!
Proverbs 8:18
“Riches and honor are mine to give. So are wealth and lasting success.”
We often seek riches believing they can bring what only right relations can bring. When we have a right relationship with Jesus and right relationship with our love ones we have Joy! Joy is a by-product of seeking Jesus and having a right relationship with Him!
Where does joy come from? How can you find joy where you are right now? Did you experience a conviction, challenge or a commitment you need to make from this devotion?
