Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
What you give out will come back to you.
Matthew 6:33 NKJV “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Luke 16:19 NKJV “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.”
What you have here on earth, apart from Jesus as savoir, will not matter when you leave the earth.
Luke 16:22-23 NKJV So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
What you see here on earth is not always what we will get when we die! If you are not careful you will focus on your life (all about self) instead of God’s purpose for you. No matter how far behind you are in your life with Jesus Christ as your Savior you can come back! Everyone this side of heaven owes everybody this side of hell an opportunity to go to heaven.
How has your focus been? More on what you have now or what you will have in heaven? Do you know someone that needs to know Jesus as savior? Do you have a burden for those that don’t know Jesus Christ? Did you experience a conviction, challenge or a commitment you need to make from this devotion?
