Great Marriages Make Great Kids

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, NKJV “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

God’s created order for marriage:
Each mate is responsible to maintain their daily walk with God.
The primary purpose of man is to make Christ the head of his life and provide for his family. The primary purpose of the woman is to help complete her husband in the home.

The main purpose of marriage:
Not to simply satisfy your mate, but to help sharpen them.
Not to make the other person happy, but help make them become holy. Spiritual growth is the only guarantee life is going to get better.

Mistakes most parents make:
Dad is not involved. The result: wife feels abandoned. Mom’s too focused on the kids. The result: husband feels rejected.

Solutions:
Commit to daily time spent together. Give your spouse the best of your attention and energy. Make sure you meet your mate’s sexual needs.
