How can we get better control of ourselves? Focus more on what God’s called us to do and not everyone else.
‘But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.’ Matthew 6:33
Make good decisions on a day-to-day bases—based on God’s Word, not how we feel.
‘Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.’ Psalms 119:11
We must spend time in God’s Word, under God’s Word, and meditating on God’s Word.
‘This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. ‘ Joshua 1:8
Allow others you trust to speak into your life. For anyone who is teachable, their goal is reachable. How do you know who to allow to speak into your life? They have been successful in the area you are wanting to learn in.
‘The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise.’ Proverbs 12:15
Admit when you are out of control, many times because of the others you are trying to control.
‘Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. ‘ James 5:16
Admit who you’re trying to control that’s not in your control.
