Leadership is Influence. Everything rises and falls on leadership, everything.
Not everyone is an organizational leader, and that’s ok.
Matthew 25:14-15, NKJV “For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his slaves and entrusted his possessions to them. To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his ability; and he went on his journey.”
- It’s not our fault or their fault that they are not an organizational leader.
- It is our fault if we keep trying to get functional leaders to be organizational leaders.
- Many people could be trained to go from functional leaders to organizational leaders but don’t have the E.Q.
Stop getting upset with the functional leaders who you’re trying to force to be organizational leaders.
- True organizational leaders don’t have to be pilled and forced after they know their boundaries.
- Most of the time, true organizational leaders will help push you.
This is very important: There are very few organizational leaders, but there are lots of limited organizational leaders if we would only learn who they are and how to lead them.
- We should be learning who the limited organizational leaders are and how you lead, train and develop them.
- A limited organizational leader is someone who can lead either a limited amount of people or for a limited amount of time.
- A limited organizational leader still has some leadership qualities and influences; you just have to help them know their limits and you also have to learn to praise them.
- As they cycle in and out, they need to feel good and successful.
You will have very few long-term organizational leaders.
A few things to remember: 2 Thessalonians 1:3, NKJV
- Always remember peace is relational, not circumstantial.
- Look for something in others that most people do not see.
- You can’t see what others don’t see if you’re not allowing God to see in you what you could not see apart from God.
- You can’t help others if you are the one always needing to be helped.
- Make sure you keep your eyes on the vision of “Bringing as many that are far from God close to God as we can.”
