5 Things That Will Help You Shatter Your Next Growth Barrier

by | Leadership

Whether you are a pastor, minister, leader, business owner, etc., we all experience growth barriers from time to time. Sometimes we feel that there is no possible way to overcome these barriers, and we are often defeated by our fear and frustration. However, there is a solution. Here are 5 things that will help you shatter your next growth barrier:

Prayer

Prayer is having a connection with God—it is not to get Him to think like us, but so we can begin to allow Him to renew our mind so we can think like Him. It’s about get God’s mind in the matter.

Plan

Planning without prayer = Indecisiveness. You will never get clarity or confidence if you plan without prayer. Prayer without planning = Irresponsible. One of the saddest things about prayer is people often use it as an excuse for inactivity—because “if I pray about it, I don’t have to do anything.” However, prayer should motivate and challenge you to do the exact opposite. When it comes to planning, keep in mind that what may have worked a year ago more than likely is not going to work now.

‘The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.’ Proverbs 21:5

People

In the book of Nehemiah, Nehemiah had a connection with God through prayer—he had a plan to rebuild the wall—but in Nehemiah 3 we see him involve people in order to make the vision become a reality.

Perspiration

It’s not just enough to have a plan and people—it takes WORK to see the vision become a reality.

Partnership

When Jesus become’s our partner, there is nothing to hard for the Lord.

‘Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.’ 2 Peter 1:2-4
