1. Am I investing in myself?
a. If you’re not investing in yourself, you don’t have anything to invest in others.
b. This is a personal growth question.
c. There are 4 types of people:
i. The unlearned.
ii. The learned.
iii. The learners.
iv. The learners that are willing to unlearn and relearn.
2. Do I really care about others?
a. This is a motivation question.
b. You have to know the difference between manipulation and motivation.
c. Manipulation is moving people for personal reasons and your benefit.
d. Motivation is moving people for mutual benefit if not their benefit.
e. Mature leaders will most often place what’s best for others or the organization
before what’s best for self.
f. 3 Questions everybody thinks or asks of a leader before they follow:
i. Can they help me?
ii. Do you care about me?
iii. Can I trust you?
g. Questions every young person asks when they come:
i. What am I going to get out of it?
ii. Are the people real leaders?
iii. Am I going to get my questions answered?
iv. Am I going to be accepted?
3. Am I doing what I love and love what I’m doing?
a. This is a passion question.
b. If you don’t have passion, you will slowly lose integrity.
c. If you only come to work and do the process without passion, that’s called a
machine, but if you come and do work with passion that’s called a human being.
d. Passion gives you energy.
4. Am I investing my time and energy in the right people? (1 Corinthians 12:1, AMP)
a. This is a relationship question.
b. What do the right people look like? i. A mutual attraction desire. passion for growth.
iii. What is their potential?
