Philippians 2:3-4, NKJV “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

Philippians 2:5, TLB “Your attitude should be the kind that was shown us by Jesus Christ.”

What is attitude?
The advancement of man/woman’s true self. Its roots are inward, but fruit is outward. It is your best friend or worst enemy. It’s the librarian of your past, the speaker of your present, and the prophet of your future.

Five principles about your attitude:

  • Determines your approach to life.
  • Is contagious.
  • Shapes your relationships with people.
  • At the beginning of a task will affect its outcome more than anything else.
  • Draws people to you or pushes them away.

Certainties about positive attitudes:

Cultivates a winning edge. Helps you meet life’s challenges. Reduces stress and increases energy/productivity.
Creates healthy and productive perspective. Increases confidence. Helps you focus more on solutions than the problem. Makes it enjoyable to live with yourself.
