1. Let what God says about you trump what other people say about you.
(Isaiah 43:1-3, NKJV) “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.”
2. Make the decision to build your life on God’s Word—Even when it’s hard.
(Matthew 7:24-27, NKJV) “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
3. Take every single thing that has you stressed or freaked out, and imagine literally placing it in the hands of Jesus.
(1 Peter 5:7, NKJV) “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
4. Ask for help when going through a difficult situation.
(Hebrews 10:24-25, NKJV) “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
5. Fight to believe that no matter how out of control the world seems, God is still in control and is using all things for His Glory and His Good.
(Romans 8:28, NKJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
6. Memorize and apply– 2 Corinthians 10:5
“casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”
7. Ask yourself, “Have I REALLY trusted Jesus with my life…or am I merely saying I have?”
(Isaiah 29:13, NKJV) “Therefore the Lord said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of me”
8. Understand that nothing—NOTHING—can separate you from God’s Love.
(Romans 8:38-39, NKJV) “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
9. If there is a sin you are struggling with, tell someone you trust and then ask them to walk with you through it.
(James 5:16, NKJV) “Confess your trespassesto one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
10. Understand that God made you on Purpose, with a Purpose, and for a Purpose… and that an abundant life comes from living IN that Purpose.
(Ephesians 2:8-10, NKJV) “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
